Our Guarantee
Ninety-eight percent of our Classroom Course students who use our materials and methods pass their exams the first time. However, students who have a serious learning disability or speak English as their second language may need to take the exams more than once. You can ask the CSLB for permission to bring a translator/reader to help you during your exams. If you do fail, we will stick with you until you pass, at no extra charge, always providing you with the latest practice exams.

Other Costs of Becoming a Licensed Contractor
In addition to your CLC course, there are other costs and fees associated with getting your license.
To the Contractors State License Board (CSLB)
- Application Fee - $330 original; $150 supplemental
- License Fee - $200 (renewable every two years)
To an Insurance Company
- License Bond - approximately $200 for 2 years depending on the bonding company you choose
To a Fingerprinting Company
- Fingerprinting Fees - approximately $80 depending on the fingerprinting company you choose
- Fees and costs for your CLC course, CSLB application, license, insurance and fingerprinting are all tax deductible under Internal Revenue Code Section 162.
